Take advantage of the cake spinner to finish the meringue. This is an easy look to get with the spinner. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, then lower to 250 and go another 15-30 minutes to help dry it out.

Make sure the butter and vanilla are mixed in from earlier. Now it's time to build. Cut up 4 bananas and then alternate layers of bananas and cream filling, start with bananas and end with filling. (filling and crust will both be warn to hot right now)

For the Meringue, use 5 egg whites (with no traces of yokes) and mix gently with 1/4 tsp cream of tartar and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Then mix faster until peaks form, add 1/2c sugar, then the cornstarch mixture and mix until stiff peaks are well established.

To help stabilize the meringue, blend 1 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp sugar, 1/3 cup sugar. Heat slowly while mixing constantly, as it approaches a boil, it will turn murky and thicken, remove from heat but try and keep warm.

2.5c whole milk, 1/4c cornstarch, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2c brown sugar, 1/2 can Dulce de Leche, blend. Add 5 egg yokes, whisk in one at time. Stir gently/constantly till the first bubble of boiling reaches the surface, stir in 1 tbsp vanilla, 3 tbsp butter.
