#PittSpot We seem to have a thing about mice in the museum! Here's an early triple-sprung mouse-trap, purchased in Wantage, Oxfordshire, in 1911. Rather dramatically classified as a 'hunting accessory' (although the mouse lurking behind it may not be aware of this).

#PittSpot These tally sticks are a fascinating way of recording information. Used at a sandpit in Isle of Man. Each builder had a stick, each notch showing a load carted. Such a simple way of making sure that there are no arguments when it comes to the time to pay the bills.
