WIP structure placement screen in #Planetbase2:
- You can change width/length of the structure
- Placement grid clearly indicating where you can place stuff
- UI indicating what other structures you can connect the structure to
- You can use mouse zoom/rotate/pitch camera
Some structures in #Planetbase2 like Batteries or Water Tanks, will have visible gauges, that indicate the charge status of the structure.
This allows you to make a rough idea of the Power/Water storage available without having to look at stats windows.
In #Planetbase2 you can use Connection Nodes to extend connections to structures that are far from the base, like this Water Extractor here.
In #Planetbase2 the Landing Ship comes with builtin Nuclear Reactor, you can then connect it to the colony structures to power them while you construct the initial energy grid.
This will give you some time, although eventually it will run out of nuclear fuel.
