#OnThisDay #1941 #PltOff R W #McNair, #411 #Squadron, claimed one #Bf.109 as shot down with another possible whilst on a sweep. He was shot down into the sea by a Bf.109 but was picked up by an #ASR launch. As a result he qualified as a member of the #Goldfish Club.
