The scorching flames will never know pain.
Have you seen worms in a burning fire?
Or flies perch on frying flesh?
Of course not.
When you are on fire, they canât come near.
When you rise higher, they canât compare.
When you shine brighter, they can't but fear.

Day 115âď¸â¨

The bird that keeps looking back to it's old nest will crash into a tree.
With that I say goodbye.
Goodbye to the old me.
Goodbye to the past things.
Farewell to my wrinkled scars and heads up for the better daysâ¤ď¸âđŠš

Day 104đ§

Little little things
A random 'hello' from the corner,
A wave across the street,
The swing of a handshake,
A hug, tight and genuine,
That gentle sound of a truly concerned 'how are you',
The reassurance in togetherness,
Pure and silent, just amazing.

Day 96âď¸
Sometimes you just gotta make room...
For yourself,
For trust,
For surprises,
For love,
For adventure,
For fun,
For opportunities...
For Life, basically.
You just have to make room for life;
Life won't happen all in your head

Day 86 đŁď¸
#Poethon: A Writer's Journey
There is a way pleasure lures the mind to shunt responsibility and give in to temporary delinquencies.
The thing about it is that it leaves a mark on a personâs psychology, making it easier and easier to compromise.
The mind is a good learner, yet at the same time it is forced to be a good teacher. As if being a learner isnât hard enough, it also takes on the teacherâs role to groom itself. Whatever it learns, it recycles and teaches itself again until it becomes part of what we know as life.
Take, for instance, telling a lie to your parents for the first time. Of course, there should be some kind of guiltâfor betrayal of trust, disobedience, and even the not-so-good thing you had to polish with a lie. Your conscience wouldnât stop tugging you to do the ârightâ thing, but for this one time, you allow fear to override the second thoughts urging you to open up.
Just from one try⌠habituation kicks in.
The next time you lie, your mind recalls that nothing drastic happened the last timeâyou got away with it. This time you may still feel guilty, but far less than before. With more ânext times,â you gradually find it easier to forget the first time. This is simply repeated exposure to a stimulus gradually reducing the emotional response to it.
When we say no to discipline, when we say yes to worldly pleasures, when we give permission to negative influences, when we consent to immorality and the like, a part of the mind takes down a logbook. And another part echoes, âjust one more.â
Now, there is one common logic that sits well with people at this stage: it is far easier to repaint reality than to change the past that led to the present.
Usually, when someoneâs actions conflict with their moral beliefs, the mind feels a tension classified as cognitive dissonance. The brain wants comfort by all means and goes on a journey to protect its peace. It pulls up a sequence of new ideals: first, it justifies the behavior; then it minimizes its importance; perhaps it changes its beliefs to make the act more acceptable; and finally, it may throw the blame at others.
And just like that, the guilt that once held your moral compass becomes the cursor directing your moral deficits.

Day 85
#Poethon: A Writer's Journey
Attention. Focus. Results.
A famous Roman poet, Juvenal, once said
"Panem et circensesâ, meaning, âBread and circuses.â
This statement was an accusation to the rulers of his time.
His point was simple:
When people are fed and entertained, they often stop paying attention to deeper issues like power, freedom, and long-term progress.
Without attention, there can be no focus on growth, no room for personal development, and no awareness of the trends or connections that could spark innovation.
Without attention, there is no focus â and without focus, the mind drifts into waste.
In todayâs world, we may not gather for a literal âcircusâ each day, but its modern replacements are everywhere: endless social media feeds, gossip, and shallow entertainment.
Know this and know truth,
Whoever controls attention controls outcomes. In politics, society, business or even personal wealth; attention determines results.
Attention determines what you learn, what you notice, what you build, and ultimately what you earn.
Without much thinking, it is very obvious that scattered attention produces scattered results.
I'll leave you with this...
"Attention is the seed. Value is the tree. Wealth is the fruit."
Stay productive â¨
Day 84: A Simple Hello, A Brighter Day
#Poethon: A Writer's Journey
Sometimes a simple âhelloâ can be the spark that turns someoneâs day from heavy to hopeful.
In todayâs world, itâs easy to retreat into ourselves, to follow the crowd chanting âevery man for himself.â
But if we choose to live that way, arenât we becoming less than the animals of the wild? Even in the jungle, there is love. A herd protects its own. A herd strives together for survival and for better days.
So letâs choose to be lightsâsmall but steady flames that brighten the path for others. The world already carries enough gloom; what it needs is more kindness, more warmth, more humanity.

Day 83: The invincible guest theory
#Poethon: A Writer's Journey
The invincible guest theory is one game changer, especially for those battling social anxiety.
This theory became really popular back then during the festive period when there were a lot of social gatherings and many people would almost kill to look âperfectâ. Standing front of the mirror, many were caught looking at themselves through another personâs lens, as though wanting to zip up all their insecurities under layers of regalia.
An era where social gatherings were more hostile than social.
The calming truth is that most people are often busy dealing with their own insecurities, and they rarely have the time to focus long enough on you to start scrutinizing your imperfections.
While youâre busy panicking about your smile, another lady is there panicking about her weight, another guy is there panicking about his height. In a gathering like this, who would really have the luxury of confidence to start wondering what makes you complete or not?
There is actually no reason to act as though every eye at the occasion is filming your insecurities, or, that your presence is so important that theyâd rather steal a glance over their own mountain of uncertainties just to have a peek at your worries.
The human mind is a lover of comparisons, so what?
Stay natural. Stay calm. Stay cheesed up.
Nobody's judging you.
I hope this gives you peace.

Day 82: Family â¤ď¸
#Poethon: A Writer's Journey
Just had a flashback of memories from 14 years agoâthe good times of childhood.
That period, we had a massive family gatheringâso large that the grains of sand seemed outnumbered by our sheer population.
Almost all of my grandfatherâs descendants were presentâyoung and old, suckling and nursing, kindergarten and graduate, sons and grandsons, mothers and daughters. The whole of everybody marked attendance physically.
It was one of the most exciting experiences I had that year, since I got to meet so many of my extended family members. I learned new names, mastered new faces, met new cousins, and found real home.
We sewed similar attire,
took pictures together,
danced and ate as a familyâlaughing and sobbing in one voice amidst all the enjoyment.
We paraded in our coat of the day, and the whole town could tell that it was indeed the burial of a great man.
It was a large burial for my grandfather, but it felt as though the world was reâcelebrating his birth. To some, he was a teacher (literally, since he was once the headmaster of the village primary school). To others, he was their first provider, their golden hero, their trusted rock, and their reason for the season. But to me, he was simply Grandpa â¤ď¸.
I was too young to write a proper tribute, but I didnât miss my chance to say how much I missed the angel who would sneak fish into my mouth while he ate.
That experience left a moral lesson that lives on:
The death of a great man brings unity.
Though it was a burial ceremony, it felt much more like a true celebration of life. And that was the last time I saw so much family physically gathered together.
A last respect well served.
A funeral remembered as a fun era.

Day 81 đď¸
#Poethon: A Writer's Journey
It takes a living person to mark present.đ
Grandma once said
"You are the one to create the time for yourself.
Another person cannot create it for you"
So say to yourself today, as long as I'm alive I'll spend time knowing that I am indeed alive!

Day 80: Embrace life. Embrace yourself.
#Poethon: A Writer's Journey
Whatâs a day without a smile?
If your life is so suffocated that not a single moment allows your eyes to brighten with joy, then Iâm sorryâyouâve been gone for far too long.
Life comes, life goes.
But what is life, if it carries no life within it?
Sometimes I wonder: If I die tomorrow, what will happen to all Iâve built?
No continuation.
No fixing.
No more building.
No spending of my savings.
No seeing my ideas change the world.
No nothingâjust nothing.
So I ask myself:
Why donât I spend it all today?
Why donât I treat myself to a treat?
Why donât I pour my time and attention into my loved ones,
and enjoy their smiles as if it were the last time Iâd ever see them?
I become overwhelmed and whisper:
Today, weâll live like itâs our last.
Iâll go wild, play without direction,
and speak freelyâwords to be remembered, perhaps, in my tribute.
But then, while spending cash, time, and focus,
a wind of wisdom whispers again:
*âAnd what if today isnât your last?
Will you let the anxiety of your final day make the rest of your days a hell?â*
At this junction, I retire.
There is a time to be born,
a time to live,
and only a second to die.
Do with this whatever you must.
You donât have to bury your time while trying to do life.
Neither do you have to preserve your happiness,
without any assurance of tomorrow.
Take a little.
Enjoy.
Smile.
Breathe.
And above allâ
Stay Happy â¤ď¸
