Units such as Bothaville Visible Policing, Bloemfontein Mounted Unit, Welkom Public Order Policing and Welkom K-9 patrolled the area on foot, horses and vehicles. Sergeant Mothusi Mjika with a 24-year-old horse named Awakening as well as Segeant Sibusiso Mzizi with a 11-year-old horse named Shakira were on back horses around South parking lot. During the operation, vehicles were stopped and inspected, and drivers were requested to produce valid driver’s licences and vehicle documentation.
