Already found loads of intersting things like cannonballs, pottery and tools, and we've still a long way down to dig before we reach bottom...

π A piece of medieval pottery, maybe a plate?! Found in the medieval drawbridge pit at @PonteCastle. So far we've been digging through deposits like this from the 1400-1500s but we're now moving down into the 1300-1400s. Exciting!

It's got a little ship on it and was probably made in Nuremberg 1490-1550 β΅οΈβ΅οΈβ΅οΈ
Someone later pierced a hole in it, perhaps to turn it into a button, sequin, or to carry on a string!
