#PoonaPactMonth Gandhiji's Letter to PM Ramsay McDonald on August 18, 1932 from Yerwada Central Prison declaring a fast unto Death against #CommunalAward for the Depressed Classes, stating separate electorates are harmful to Ex-Untouchables and #Hinduism. #Bapu srarts fast on 20th September and on 24th pact was signed on behalf of Gandhiji by other and #Babasaheb. Babasaheb was not ready go sacrific the rights, he satated the extreme step by Gandhiji would have been justifiable for obtaining independence. There was no such declaration during Hindu Muslim violence which broke after partition by Mahatma. Babasaheb Ambedkar in his statement said, "Mahatmas have come and Mahatmas have gone, but the Untouchables have remained as Untouchables". In Pact, article 9 states that, in prportion to the population of untouchables, the amount should be spend on #Education. Component Plan for Scheduled #Castes came only in 1980, almost 30 years after planning commmission. Till date no Union or State Govt either of @INCIndia or @BJP4India allocated money in proportion to the population, if allocated not fully utilize, even after state legislation in #CongRSS ruled Karnataka and Telangana. And now Dy CM of @INCKarnataka is chants RSS prayer in assembly. After declaration of #PoonaPact in a program at Mumbai, Babasaheb raised concern and still applicable, "Whether the Hindu community will abide by the agreement."
