Did you know the first Sunday in June marks Canadian Armed Forces Day and celebrates the contributions of Canadian military personnel, past and present - and the 47th Review of the #PortElgin Griffin Squadron #340 was a perfect program to recognize this important day.
Captain Jackie Book served as the Reviewing Officer #340. Jackie is recognized by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in a Permanent exhibit as one of Canada's leading Women in Combat for her time in Afghanistan.
Had a great start to my morning in #PortElgin by welcoming the #Shriners to #Huron #Bruce.
Congrats to the Bruce Shrine Club for hosting the convention and thank you to all Shriners for the important work you do in support of children as well as hospitals and hospices! I can tell the parade later today is going to be awesome!!
