HOPE(S) model is about recognising human rights. Everyone has the right to getting outside into the fresh air. This is as important as meeting a physical need #PositiveandSafe
How do we reintegrate people after long term segregation when they have become used to not seeing people and being on their own for long periods #PositiveandSafe
Hearing now about dehumanising effects of long term segregation. Saw this a lot when I worked with prisons #PositiveandSafe
HOPE(S) is about collaboration and connection rather than control. Being in long term segregation is traumatic and people describe it as their worst experience of services and it often leads to a deterioration in mental health ( not surprisingly) #Positiveandsafe
