🏳️‍🌈 BRIGHTON PRIDE: “Pride is not about hate. You need to fuck off!” Doesn’t this sum up the backwards direction of the modern LGBTQIA+ movement? I returned to Pride 2025, this time in Brighton, after being arrested in London and banned from Westminster for carrying the exact same sign (“🏳️‍⚧️ = MENTAL ILLNESS”) at London Pride earlier this year. This time, the police did not intervene. I was able to speak to people at the event, yet the reaction was the same: hostility, abuse and zero willingness to engage with disagreement or criticism. The level of emotional volatility on display was alarming. What concerns me is the wider cultural shift. By rejecting basic logic, debate and biological reality, the UK is sleepwalking into a “2 + 2 = 5” mentality straight out of Orwell’s 1984. We are being pushed to accept ideologically driven narratives as unquestionable truth, and punished socially for challenging them. So much for the “loving and inclusive left.” Their actions increasingly contradict the image they try to project.
