More added 👇 #ProfConf was jampacked with useful info on a wide range of big topics incl. mental health/supporting LGBTQ+ people/interoception. Think strong theme was not just listening to autistic people & accommodating needs but truly understanding & supporting best interests.

Pete was fab at #profconf last week. This thread summarises his keynote, and may be eye opening to those who prioritise 'behaviour policies' over meeting needs.
#InternationalWheelchairDay - I couldn't do things like #ProfConf without my chair. It is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I OWN!
But it, and adapting my car, used all my savings. In future I'll need to replace it, which will cost another £2000+
Being #disabled is expensive!
