The sound of a pager beeping echoes in the silence, echoing a familiar tune of 'Sleep Well' by CG5 in 8 bit for a moment, followed by a button click that silences the song
"...Ah. What an interesting turn of events.~"
(🎶I walk down the path...🎶)
"Pulled away, and set adrift..."
(🎶Leading to the past...🎶)
"I am now directed back to them, bonds once cherished deep..."
(🎶Stolen from the tree's hand...🎶)
"Was it the timing? One could say 'fate' if it lined with their ideology, of course."
(🎶The forbidden fruit, I bite off the skin...🎶)
"Aha...how strange of me to question or contemplate.~"
(🎶Chewing on its tender flesh...Quaff down its lukewarm pus...🎶)
"The Will of the City..."
(🎶I became the "me" who you'd despised🎶)
"For a Prescript is not to be second guessed or considered. Only followed.~"
(🎶We swallowed the time🎶)
"Soon we shall unite, much like in the past. I find myself wondering however."
(🎶Let us rewind🎶)
"If the Sun, with it's glow cut in half, will still look upon me with it's half gaze with kindness, hmhm.~"
(🎶Lament, If you wanted me to speak, If you wanted me to think, If you wanted me to carry on our dreams, Each loop we live through, (Each loop we livе through), The standards inside me, Thе line I drew for me, Lowers to the earth🎶)
*Beep, beep* "Trap a family to starve, till one remains. Induct the survivor into the organization."
*Beep, beep* "Slaughter all civilians within the limits of two city blocks above the age of thirty-six."
*Beep, beep* "Bind your arms till the day you unite with one you wish to embrace."
(🎶Lament, Why'd you make my voice stutter?, Why do truths never matter?, Why'd you curse me with "you're a natural born genius"? Endless inferno (Inferno) Counter-clock we rose Counter-clock we reload🎶)
("The Prescript has been completed.~")
("The Prescript must be followed.~")
("Dogday...still...with the eye not taken, you look at me...like that...")
("My free will is but an illusion, for it belongs to my 'God' of the City.~)
"Humans and Critters alike walk 'paths' called their own, not knowing that path was set for them to begin with. My birth, the hell I endured alongside my two closest friends, was not of my will nor the will of our tormentors. Still to this day, I cling to my name given, Catnap."
"For it was all meant to come full circle, as are all things within this accursed Inferno- Ah. My feelings still come to surface even now. Aha. Well. That matters not, for where the Prescripts, my 'God' directs, I shall go, even if into the arms of the one harmed by my hands. That is simply the life of one belonging to the Index.~"

(🎶I walk down the path... 🎶)
Oh so long ago...
(🎶Leading to the past...🎶)
There was once three of us.
(🎶Stolen from the tree's hand...🎶)
Till that day you were taken from me...from us...
(🎶A regretter's friend...🎶)
Player...I wonder if you remember me after all this time.
(🎶The forbidden fruit, I bite off the skin...🎶)
Ties and attachments to those outside the Family are detested. But I care less.
(🎶Chewing on its tender flesh...Quaff down its lukewarm pus...🎶)
I have committed myself to this role for so long to find even a single hair of you.
(🎶I became the "me" who you'd despised🎶)
And now, I sit. As a Sottocapo.
(🎶We swallowed the time🎶)
Funny how time flies.
(🎶Let us rewind🎶)
But regardless. Once together again. It'll be just like old times.
(🎶Lament, If you wanted me to speak, If you wanted me to think, If you wanted me to carry on our dreams, Each loop we live through, (Each loop we livе through), The standards inside me, Thе line I drew for me, Lowers to the earth🎶)
This world threw me into a world of endless suffering and despair, to be used for what I was, rather then who I am. Would you blame me for seeking you? To dream of you endless? To cage you for myself.
(🎶Lament, Why'd you make my voice stutter?, Why do truths never matter?, Why'd you curse me with "you're a natural born genius"? Endless inferno (Inferno) Counter-clock we rose Counter-clock we reload🎶)
(You who made my heart quiver.)
(I slaughtered when commanded, even though I secretly delighted in it.)
You who loved me, who praised me.
(This accursed hell that tore us apart-!!!)
Do not worry, when I find you. I shall show you the courtesy a Critter like myself can bestow upon you. Even though I will never let you go. Your Sunshine, as you once called me, shall take care of you forever.
I am Dogday afterall. And you'll live peacefully. Under my Thumb. Make sure to treat me with some Class and Respect though.
