I am lucky to work on #ProjectNaming This project puts indigenous folks names on historical photos in the @LibraryArchives collection Follow us here and on Facebook, offered in both official languages!
Over these past few months, we have been busy updating records with names that you have provided, and the new information is now searchable in Collection Search https://t.co/e2O60KJsBw

We hope you are all staying safe. It’s really good to be back! #ProjectNaming

Putting a name on the "anonymous" in images meant as ethnography of the indigenous.
Another great initiative by @LibraryArchives to rectify the archival record. #archives #ProjectNaming https://t.co/Lqc03pHl5r
The original captions on images often reflect society’s prejudices and ignorance, but @project_naming attempts to right this wrong by soliciting the help of Indigenous peoples in identifying photographs from our collection.
