During our stay in Adelaide Island we had the chance of surveying two sites with the field spectrometer to record the spectral signatures of rock surfaces and of different vegetal species (lichens and mosses). In one of the sites we had a special company!

PERMANTAR team visited the observatory for permafrost in Amsler Island to download the records of ground temperatures and maintain the datalogger system. The spectroscopy measurements were performed on surfaces with and without vegetation in the area.

Yesterday we visit George Point in Ronge Island where we perform spectroscopy measurements on vegetation present on the rock blocks. However the weather conditions were not ideal with strong wind and rain which limit the work time.
