#タイソン・フーズ(#TysonFoods) 社は、昆虫原料会社 #プロティックス 社(#Protix)との二重投資で合意に達したと発表した 。この投資は、新興昆虫原料産業の成長を支援し、世界の食料システムで使用するためのより効率的で持続可能なタンパク質と脂質を作成するための昆虫原料ソリューションの使用を拡大することを目的としています。
タイソン・フーズは直接株式投資を通じてプロティックス社(Protix)の少数株式を取得し、世界展開の資金調達に役立てる。さらに、タイソン・フーズとプロティックスは、米国本土での昆虫原料施設の運営と建設のための合弁事業に参入した。完成すれば、この種の施設としては初の大規模施設となり、食品製造副産物を食品にアップサイクルすることになると両社は述べている。主にペットフード、水産養殖、畜産業で使用される高品質の昆虫タンパク質と脂質。

米国に建設予定の施設には、昆虫の幼虫の繁殖、孵化、孵化を含む昆虫タンパク質生産のあらゆる側面をサポートするように設計された密閉システムが収容されます。水産養殖およびペットフード産業の原料に加えて、加工された幼虫は家畜や植物飼料の原料としても使用される場合があります。
