The current information environment is the most convoluted, chaotic, and volatile environment in human history. And every single day more misinformation and disinformation is spread into the space by both knowing and unknowing actors. It is more important now than it has ever been to be a vigilant information consumer. Trust nothing until you have verified it. Stop falling for blatantly biased headlines. Clips are clipped specifically as intended to illicit a response from you. Find the source material and get the context of the clip, then you can easily discern if the clipper is being genuine or not. Lazy information consumers will be duped. Apathetic information consumers will be duped. Stupid information consumers will be duped. And if you are being duped, it is for a reason. It is part of some bigger plan. Or it is a scam meant to profit off of your ignorance. Only you can prevent your own brain rot. Evolve or be duped by really dumb and terrible people.
