Army officers in Gabon have taken control of the government, appearing on national television to announce the annulment of the results of Saturday's election, which declared President Ali Bongo as the winner. The electoral commission's announcement of Mr. Bongo's victory was met with allegations of fraud from the opposition.
This move by the military could potentially end the 53-year-long reign of power held by President Bongo's family. Twelve soldiers made the announcement on Gabon 24 TV, stating their decision to dissolve all the institutions of the republic in order to defend peace and put an end to the current regime. The soldier further highlighted the reasons behind their actions, pointing towards irresponsible and unpredictable governance that has led to social cohesion deteriorating and pushing the country towards chaos.
President Bongo first came to power in 2009 following the death of his father, Omar Bongo. In 2018, he experienced a stroke which led to calls for him to step aside, and the following year, a failed coup attempt resulted in mutinying soldiers being imprisoned."

Dear Obidients,
I am aware of the admonition by our principal, @PeterObi, to remain calm and peaceful, and I am in complete agreement with him.
In the last couple of weeks, it has become obvious to the world that there is an inexplicable delay in the dispensation of justice at the Presidential Elections Petition Tribunal in Abuja.
As this delay persists , the usurper continues to act in ways that he clearly thinks will consolidate his illegal hold on power. It is therefore, in my opinion, time to remind the judiciary of their duty to 200m of the world's poorest people.
Their unexplained hesitation is now dangerously skirting the boundaries of dereliction of duty, giving room for all manner of dangerous speculation, to the extent that there are allegations that the judgement they are to read is being written by someone who is not a judge in that tribunal!
I am therefore minded express my full and unequivocal support for a nationwide PEACEFUL protest, demonstrating to the judiciary that it is time to do their duty. ACCORDING TO THE DICTATES OF THE CONSTITUTION and relevant laws, and not any mysterious technicalities, for the sake of the country to which they swore oaths of allegiance,
I don't know about you, but I have had enough of this inexorable and completely predictable drift, under the thumb of a desperate usurper, who is now seeking to drag us into a war with our brothers in Niger, just to get a pat on the head from Western powers.

2. Getting 25% of the votes in the FCT
3. Not being qualified to contest the election due to being constitutionally barred from contesting because of his forfeiture of $460k to the United States Government for laundering the proceeds of the sale of white heroin.
4. Not being qualified to contest the election because in a previous election, he committed perjury by claiming that he attended Government College Ibadan, which he didn't, and St. Paul's Primary School, Aroloya, which does not and has never existed.
5. Not being qualified to contest because he swore on oath tomhave attended Chicago State University. The Bola A. Tinubu that attended that institution and Richard Daley College has being shown to be a woman.
6. Not being qualified to contest because he was found to have submitted a forged Chicago State University Degree Certificate as evidence of his educational qualifications, this whilst suddenly now claiming not to have attended either primary or secondary school, contrary to his claims in 1999.
7. Having conflicting dates of birth. The date of birth submitted on his INEC form is 1952, whilst that on the college record for Bola A. Tinubu is 1954!
Just how bad does it need to get before he is considered unsuitable for ANY office in the land, much less the Presidency?
What Mahmood Yakubu, Festus Okoye and all the @inecnigeria National Commissioners and some state RECs on the one hand, and Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his family members, Muhammadu Buhari and majority of APC members on the other did during and after the 2023 Presidential Election is a COUP and nothing less.
Bola Tinubu is running an illegal government and must face the fate of a coup plotter, along with his aforementioned co-conspirators.
