The 31 chapters of Proverbs is the inspired word of our Holy God. Verse 20 introduces us to wisdom. And wisdom is given a female persona. This might very well be my 50th reading of this book. The more I read it, the more I believe wisdom is a living, breathing created entity. A gift from Father to all who will ask Him for wisdom. James 1:5 NASB20 — But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, Who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.* There is no excuse for me to be without wisdom. Wisdom is calling out to me above the noise of the culture. God will freely give wisdom if I ask for it. Verses 32 and 33 clearly show there is no neutrality here. You either stay naive and complacent, or you heed wisdom's call. One leads to destruction and the other to life and security. I must choose wisely.
