Honored to have been on #QF99 - @qantas' last revenue flight of its last (non-ER) Boeing 747: VH-OJU. Met so many great people onboard. Interestingly, the mood was somber, like it was a memorial for a friend. My challenge: finish writing a @thepointsguy story that does it justice

VH-OJU fun fact: it was OJU in need of an engine change in Johannesburg in Jan 2016 that led to Qantas’ last five-engine ferry flight. VH-OJS (retired in Feb 2019) carried the extra engine from SYD to JNB via Perth. https://t.co/yLpB3jSabN #QF99
