INFORMATIVO PENINSULAR
La esperanza de encontrar con vida a un tripulante del crucero Regal Princess mantiene en marcha un intenso operativo de búsqueda en aguas del Caribe mexicano, luego de que la madrugada de este lunes se reportara su desaparición tras presuntamente caer al mar frente a las costas de Cancún.
La alerta de “Hombre al agua” (Man Overboard) fue emitida poco antes de las 6:00 de la mañana, lo que llevó al capitán a detener la navegación e iniciar de inmediato las maniobras de localización.
A las labores se sumaron la Secretaría de Marina (Semar) y la Capitanía Regional de Puerto, que trabajan de manera coordinada con Princess Cruises para rastrear la zona donde ocurrió el incidente.
En un comunicado, la naviera confirmó que el tripulante permanece desaparecido y expresó sus condolencias a su familia y a las personas afectadas por la situación, además de informar que brinda apoyo emocional tanto a pasajeros como a la tripulación.
Durante varias horas, el Regal Princess permaneció realizando recorridos y maniobras de búsqueda, mientras decenas de tripulantes observaban el mar desde cubierta con la esperanza de localizar a su compañero.
Hasta el cierre de esta edición, el operativo continuaba sin resultados positivos y el itinerario del crucero fue modificado mientras las autoridades mantienen los esfuerzos de búsqueda en el Caribe mexicano.
