This month, GCA joined a @WorldBank appraisal mission in Chad for the #RESILAND project, working with @BiovIntCIAT_eng to assess how climate adaptation solutions, especially Digital Climate Advisory Services and livestock-focused interventions, can strengthen key value chains. As part of the mission, the team visited a Ferme Agricole Communautaire Intégrée #FAC) to understand how this sustainable land-use and farmer-organization model could be integrated into RESILAND and enhanced for greater climate resilience. While the FACI brings together around 700 smallholder farmers, gaps remain in areas such as irrigation, access to improved seeds, and climate-resilient practices. Regional dialogue on transboudary conservation in Central Asia kick-started today in Tashkent w/ excellent presentations from @WorldBank, @UNBiodiversity, and @IUCN_WCPA. The dialogue is co-org by @IUCN_ECARO in the framework of WB's #RESILAND CA+ and supported by @ecogov_uz.
