Sad tidings Friends, as #Torum self-destructs and $XTM bleeds into insignificance... But at least we have clarity: the project is now truly dead. #RIPTorum 🙏😭🙏 As for us... Indeed, we've been cheated out of some fiat (via Avatar #NFTs), but these wounds can be healed and restored, unlike the bonds of friendship we've built over the years. I've been hearing good things about Tangled, apparently they have serious devs, who know their stuff and are constantly adding new features... I tried registering on Hive last year, but for two weeks could not get past the registration form, so it's tough to expect mass adoption with such insurmountable hurdles. In point of fact, X is reliable, well-funded and works just fine, so we COULD just hang out here Friends, what say you? Dear Friends, Thank you for your incredible patience. Well, I gave saving #Torum and $XTM a shot and allowed ample time for the team to come to their senses and engage seriously and constructively, but... Alas! The interlocutor from team Torum's side is completely incapable of common sense and good faith negotiations. Long-story-short: he's refused to provide any basic information on the project, required to make critical decisions (factual running costs and asking price) and just fished, trying to get me to divulge my entire business plan in every detail. Newsflash: TT is NOT the investor in the equation I proposed--that would have been #WeTheLanders! As has been amply proven over the past year, the shell of Torum counts for nothing without its Community. For context, I have run a company far bigger in scope, purpose, success and revenue than Torum in the past, so (unlike the team) I know exactly how to monetise this project, however, I am not here to educate or appease obtuse and utterly unjustified arrogance. My offer was simple: either we work together in good faith to rescue the project this team has run into the ground, their tattered reputation and legacy... or we don't. 🤷‍♂️ His abrasive attitude has now confirmed that the team does not care about the #TORUM platform, or its investors and just wants Torum SocialFi sunset asap, so they can move on to their next grift: a shoddy #TorumPay exchange (though they'll probably change the name to trick investors... How about... #FTX Jr?)😂🤦‍♂️😂 Then... A few years down the road after this latest fling (once again into an area where they have no expertise) is inevitably exhausted, mismanaged and fails, after they've squandered the govt. grant and/or investment, they'll come up with fresh excuses and other ways to extract liquidity from investors in return for zero value. Straight out of the #SBF-wannabe rug-pullers' playbook... To be fair, NOT everyone on #teamTorum is a pooch-screwing deadbeat. Over the years, I have enjoyed positive interactions with many intelligent people on the team, hence I believed we could salvage and resuscitate the platform. Unfortunately, the guy entrusted with business matters is clueless about business, which is why the company is dying and the team, in its current configuration, NGMI. So sad how the incompetence of one amateur ruins the prospects for all team members. It takes just one rotten egg to spoil the bunch, as the saying goes... As you understand, at this point, I couldn't care less. I've determined that they do not deserve our help, sympathy or warrant our trust and further investment. My offer is permanently off the table. I am 100% passing on/retracting the project I proposed. If anyone is interested in trying to reason with them... be my guest, but please exercise extreme caution when attempting to deal with this 'Chubby Cub', drunk on his own pungent ego. 🤦‍♂️💯🤦‍♂️ Ps. Let's see whether they at least refund the Avatar #NFT holders, referencing a snapshot of $XTM's price at the time of purchase in 2021/22...
