#RNLDSummit we need to ensure there are not duplication of tasks by key stakeholder and that we are all coordinating and sharing information. I liked the idea of a media sub-committee to look at getting greater TV exposure.

I agree ☝🏾 It has been recognised that there is a need for awareness raising at national level. Some of the agreed actions from today’s #RNLDSummit include targeting young people in schools as they may not know abt this profession.
@wakups @WeLDnurses @UWL_CNMH As a LD joint programme student, I found that a lot of professionals don’t even know the course exists. I think the universities need to promote the courses.
Reflecting on the action plan delegates discussed. All great ideas with lots of enthusiasm in the room- but slow progress despite a raft of reports and recs make me worry that people with LD just aren’t the priority they should be- and neither is the workforce #RNLDSummit
