After I simply asked him, as captain, to calm his teammates because I felt they were becoming too aggressive, I believe he portrayed our exchange to the referee as something it wasn’t. I never made any racist remark, and the whole incident left me deeply disappointed. That moment made me question the fairness of what happened. To me, honesty and integrity matter just as much as winning. If I feel someone has misrepresented my words, it’s difficult for me to trust or respect them in the same way again. Cristiano Ronaldo has been my idol since childhood, and my respect for him has never changed. I admire his dedication, discipline, and mentality.
