There is really one simple solution:

The playoff committee must announce that Texas Tech won’t be eligible for the playoff if Sorsby plays.

If Tech sues, schedule the trial date for Feb. 8, 2027.

Athletic officials from Nebraska and Georgia sent department-wide memos today instructing their coaches and sport deputies not to schedule Texas Tech. If games are already scheduled, the schools may work to cancel the matchups.

That’s exactly what the ruling today means. If the NCAA can’t win the appeal or severely punish Texas Tech for this, players gambling is not only allowed now, but they’re probably going to intentionally use it.

The #Vols were placed ahead of No. 2 Louisville, No. 3 Texas, and No. 4 Kentucky in Borzello’s rankings.

“Rick Barnes clearly emphasized offense in the portal,” wrote Borzello.

The Big Orange signed six Top 100 players in the 2026 cycle, per 247Sports including highly-coveted Wake Forest transfer wing Juke Harris.
