Plant, animal, or art? Pentacrinus subangularis is part of an extinct genus of crinoids that lived during the early Triassic Period. While they might resemble plants, specimens like these are actually marine animals. #RTMPCollections

This juvenile Prosaurolophus specimen is special for the skin impressions preserved near the ribs. Skin impressions on fossils can be rare, but they provide valuable information about an animal’s hide that fossilized bones alone cannot reveal. #RTMPCollections
Look at their rendering of the mosasaur Prognathodon! Alexandre and Louis-Philippe digitally reconstructed entire skeletons of some of our specimens using their 3D scanner. Their scans will assist with future research, and will also serve as educational tools. #RTMPCollections

This juvenile Gorgosaurus was between five and seven years old when it died. If you look closely, you’ll notice bite marks preserved on its skull. This specimen is the smallest, or youngest, Gorgosaurus to preserve facial bite marks. #RTMPCollections
