Hi Mike! This year the engines are definitely going to be higher stressed due to the increased WOT time. @roushyates has the ability to test this condition, and we have developed the engine to meet this durability cycle. #RYEPower
@Yates_Doug Has the fact that the engines will basically be run at WOT (and therefore high RPMs) most of the time concerned the engine builders about potentially making engine failures more common? #RYEPower
My opinion is that the best drivers and teams will find a competitive advantage and still be the fastest cars. In regards to the tires, more tire falloff usually equals better racing. Thanks for your question! #RYEPower
@Yates_Doug do you think with this aero and tapered spacer package, that the racing will still be in the driverโs hands moreso than just holding wide open throttle? Also would you like to see Goodyear have a tire with more fall off to make the cars less โdrivableโ? #RYEPower
Thank you for being #RYR fan! That's a great question! The biggest change is that the engines will be at WOT more than in the past. Some of the components are more stressed with this new package than last season. @roushyates has performed many miles of testing. #RYEPower
The new T550 HP package has required a lot of development in order to optimize power and reliability. This package has a new camshaft, cylinder head, intake manifold and exhaust system. It has been a busy winter! #RYEPower
@Yates_Doug Is this package a total redesign or is it similar to an engine package from last year?
Thank you! The speed at @DISupdates and @TalladegaSuperS will be about 200mph. In regards to the Gen7 car, I think the power will be between 550-600HP. I'm looking forward to @amsupdates and @LVMotorSpeedway. #RYEPower

Doug, is a pre spacer air adjustment device allowed to be used? An air vortex device would stabilized as well as increase volume instead of eddies developing at the spacer intake
