Yesterday we reached the Mediterranean Sea and completed our Raid Pyrenees. Such an incredible feeling to cross the Pyrenees Mountain range. 22 Cols, 802kms and over 15000m of climbing. What an experience. #RaidPyrenees #cycling #bicycletouring
First update from me in a while. Our Raid Pyrenees has been immense. Yesterday was huge with the Route des Corniches giving us amazing scenery for two Cols before ascending Pailheres in a complete white out fog! Very eerie but great views right?! #Pyrenees #cycling #RaidPyrenees
Pretty special experiences on Col du Tourmalet and Col d’Aspin. Riding through the mist in the last few kms - incredible. Zero visibility for first part of the descent. Then watching the fog roll through on Aspin. Wont soon forget these moments. #pyrenees #RaidPyrenees #cycling
Col d’Aubisque via Laruns. Done this climb many times but not from this approach. Safe to say it’s become a favourite already. Just absolutely WOW! The benefit of the panniers is you pedal so slowly you get to take in the views for even longer! #pyrenees #raidpyrenees #cycling
Col de Marie Blanque via Escot. Never have I ever felt so broken on a climb as I did on those steep last four kilometres. Seriously at times I think walking may have been faster. So relieved to get to the summit! Now I need ALL the food! #RaidPyrenees #pyrenees #cycling
