Initiator und treibende Kraft des Baus war der amerikanische Multimillionär und demokratische Politiker John J. #Raskob (1879-1950). Raskobs Großvater war aus #Großlittgen, einem Nachbardorf meines Geburtsorts in der Südeifel, in die USA eingewandert.
