He recibido la llamada del presidente del Gobierno de España para valorar la situación en #CastillayLeón. Además de informarle del estado actual de los heridos y de los incendios, le he recordado lo mismo que ya le trasladé en julio de 2022: Abordar los incendios como temas de Estado, sacarlos de la confrontación política y celebrar una Conferencia de Presidentes monográfica. Tres años después, nada se ha hecho.
También le he explicado que nos encontramos en una situación excepcional por cuatro motivos. Primero, condiciones meteorológicas extremas, mucho calor, mucha sequedad y mucho viento. Segundo, nunca antes se habían prolongado durante tanto tiempo. Tercero, se produce una simultaneidad de incendios de gravedad. Y cuarto, bastantes de los fuegos, según los expertos, podrían ser provocados. La Guardia Civil tiene que poner todos los medios a su alcance para la detección de los incendiarios y puesta a disposición de la Justicia.
Por ello, ante estas circunstancias excepcionales, le he solicitado una respuesta excepcional por parte del Gobierno de España: Que ponga a disposición de las Comunidades Autónomas más medios del Ejército para reforzar la importante labor que ya están desarrollando los operativos autonómicos y la UME. Remitiremos también esta solicitud al ministro del Interior.
