My side gig turned main gig only a month ago and no, it isn't substantial yet. I have SOME ways to go.
It is going good. Slow but steady and I can already see growth.

7. How's your side gig/hustle doing right now? Has it become a substantial source of revenue for you?

Start. For me, starting was one of the biggest hurdles. But then I did and now I'm learning and growing.
If your intention is to keep it as a side thing, be intentional about how you split your time between this and your main. The lines can get blurry.

Leaving my job was not breezy. It took a year of thinking and planning and doubting and praying.
Made some major losses at various points too.
Entrepreneurship can be a little lonely. No one really tells you that

5. What were your toughest moments and/or failures?

You needn't necessarily leave your job asap. Obviously, this has worked for some but like I said, my job is where all my capital came from. It's what helped me work my side hustle into a main hustle.

4. What lessons can you share with us about starting a side hustle?

Passion. Periodt. I have always loves hair and media. Always. Been on stage since I was 5. I went round and round only to end back up at my first and forever loves. I'm not sure there was really ever anything else for me. This was always the path. #RedNoteBookHustle

Job. My job is where I got very single coin I have poured into my very new business. Very new of it only just got 'official' about a month ago. I saved and saved and saved some more.

Very late to this but we move.
Honestly? My job was draining me physically and mentally and giving me very little in return, financially and otherwise so I started blogging to feed my spirit. My whistle didnt become and income stream until maybe a year after #RedNoteBookHustle

When I was robbed clean, left in debt even after doing best to be a good or bearable boss, I almost lost my mind.
- Not fully understanding how the business works so it was easy to be cheated.

- Employing people is not for jokes, whew, the heartbreaks, excuses and sometimes avoidable losses...
- Starting small really helps you learn and fail small
- Being present will save you a lot
- Know when to fire people

The rolex stalls were birthed from my need to take a break from formal employment while not having to worry about daily earnings, but also to create employment for young men so a win win...
I am accepting that I have an entrepreneur bone so it's a journey
