5 years conducting a #ReefClean coastal low level aerial survey from Cooktown to the tip of Cape York.
The team collected data on #marinedebris loads and quantity of large debris items which included:
- 400 x long line commercial fishing beacons
- 448 x FADs
- 280 x Ghost Nets

We have just completed our biggest clean-up haul ever!
Working with Wuthathi Custodians and Elders at a site that has never been cleaned before, we removed 10.8 tonnes from just 2.8km of beach.

A huge thank you to the GMY Rangers for another successful clean-up at Ganyjira Beach.
We managed to remove approximately 50kg of debris from the area, tracing some debris back to China, Singapore, and Fiji!

3 more tuna trackers were found and added to our collection as part of #ProjectReCon.
Our objective is to repurpose these trackers to attach to large, abandoned ghost nets in the ocean, allowing us to monitor their location while recovery efforts are organised.

Ditch the Flick cigarette butt bins have arrived at Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach!
These bins will be used to help prevent cigarette butt litter during events as part of mobile designated outdoor smoking areas.
