@FrasSpaz and wife literally took me in when I had no where else to go. Has been my closest friend, and I wouldn’t have my fiancée (they signed me up for @eHarmony) wouldn’t have had been able to weather a terrible live storm. #ReflectiveSprint #ReflectionSLC #InspireYourself

My 8th grade teacher told my 13 year old self this... “Believe in yourself and you will soar beyond your dreams!” This advice has carried me so far and she’s still my friend to this day. Educators make a lasting impact, whether they know it or not! #ReflectiveSprint

Day 5. #ReflectiveSprint #ReflectionSLC @InnovationSLC One of the scariest things I have ever done is at the age of 22, after finishing my B.Ed, I packed my bags and headed by myself to the MidEast. My first teaching gig at one of the first Special Education schools in Kuwait!

The scariest thing I ever did was go through cancer. It’s been one year now that I’m cancer free! What got me through it was positivity, prayer, gratitude and love from my family & friends. #ReflectiveSprint #ReflectionSLC #InspireYourself

#ReflectiveSprint #ReflectionSLC Day 5. One of the scariest things I have done was to start taekwondo at the age of 47. This picture was taken at the end of my first belt test. It was so difficult for me to do this test emotionally and mentally and with a lot of 6-10 yr olds.

#ReflectiveSprint Day 5 is s tough one. Scariest but most amazing thing I ever did was raise my son on my own. Wasn’t the plan but when he was 4, this was my path. Balancing a collapsing identity with a child was difficulty but through faith, and a strong support system I did.
