🚨 EXCL: A media company that made substantial donations to Andy Burnham’s mayoral election campaigns later received at least £338,400 in taxpayer-funded contracts from the Greater Manchester authority that he runs
@andy4makerfield We know whose side you are on
And it’s not on the side of working people.
And you are using #Makerfield to get to No. 10. It doesn’t matter for you which seat you are standing, a couple of months ago you tried Gorton and Denton. You don’t care which constituency.

“He [Burnham] should not be PM because he does not fulfil his promises. He happily takes the credit for other people's battles, but he lacks the steel to keep fighting when the stakes get high.”
He’s in this race only for Andy

EXC: Andy Burnham received tens of thousands of pounds from trade unions in a month as he began to shore up his bid for Labour leadership
The Manchester mayor had not received a union donation for two years before he was paid £20,000 by a series of unions between March 24 and April 24
Burnham is standing to return to parliament in Makerfield and has long been touted for Labour leadership. Affiliated unions — including the three which have donated to Burnham — called for Sir Keir Starmer to stand aside as prime minister last week, saying that “at some stage” Labour will have to plan to elect a new leader
Burnham received £10,000 on March 24 from the Fire Brigades Union, £5,000 on April 10 from the Communication Workers Union, and £5,000 from Unison on April 24
It is unclear from official Electoral Commission records what the donations were exactly for - it is understood that the Unison donation was to cover some of the wider Labour party’s local election expenses in Greater Manchester, rather than directly to support Burnham

Say NO to the establishment, send your own homegrown lad to Westminster to be your voice. Makerfield for him is a home, not a stepping stone.
