Thought 1 - Relative performance of smallcap Agents
Yesterday was one of the craziest corrections I have seen in a while:
$ETH down 16%
#AI16z down 16%
#Virtual down 15%
All in the last 24 hours.
Yet many on-chain altcoins barely even flinched.
One reason for this is that shitcoins sold off heavily already.
There are simply fewer people interested in selling -90% coins.
This is a strong signal that the (local) bottom for those is in.

Thought 2 - Understanding what a bottom means
Don't make the mistake of thinking that a bottom means that prices go up.
It only means the current move-down is over.
This happens when buyers and sellers find an equilibrium.
A follow-up move down is possible.
You have to evaluate each coin individually.
Look at the chart and ask yourself: Are sellers out of coins?
If yes it's highly likely that your coin made a true bottom in the last days.

Thought 3 - Still sitting on my hands
Some of these AI projects look a lot better than they did last week.
However, I am still not interested in adding risk.
This is a very personal decision but I want to give you my reasons for this.
Buying buttoning charts is viable, especially if you have a longer-term time horizon and want to buy quality projects.
But it is still a risky move.
It's less risky than buying falling charts but still more risky than buying when conditions are favorable.
I already reached my financial goal for this cycle.
Meaning my personal risk appetite is low.
In addition, I am still bag-holding $NUIT so I have some exposure to the upside.
You have to think about your risk management but be aware that it is very possible we still go lower.
It is always possible to wait until conditions are more in your favor and when trading is easier.
With that being said, I think conditions for (some) on-chain AI agents are starting to improve.

Thought 4 - Overall Macro and large AI coins:
I don't want you to think that the overall conditions for crypto are great.
Trading small-cap on-chain projects is often different from the overall altcoin market.
They have some correlation at times but at others, they don't.
In my view (some) small caps bottomed because they are already down 90% and most people who want to sell at these prices are out.
The current macro landscape doesn't look great for altcoins and a new move lower can also drag small-cap altcoins lower.
Hence why I said bottom != price goes up.
That said, it's also possible that yesterday's liquidation marks a (local) bottom for altcoins.
Yes, the macro looks unfavorable but it's always possible that the correction has been front-run.
We expect TradFi to sell off today and we also anticipate more bearish news on Trump imposing tariffs on the EU.
However, those are headlines that we already knew. Quite possible that it won't have a large effect on crypto as we already sold off.
On the flip side, the slight move-up that altcoins made in the last few hours could be because shorters are closing their positions to reload.
This kind of uncertainty is why I don't take positions. It's just more difficult to trade when the market has no clear opinion of direction.
If you are very skilled you know how to trade in this environment, if you are smart you only open trades when you can win.
