🚨WATCH: A 40-year compilation of Donald Trump speaking out against NAFTA, the WTO, and other trade deals that have exploited American consumers and devastated U.S. manufacturing. "When you put a tax on Japan for the products that they're selling, you will bring in hundreds of billions of dollars to this country, which can go to rebuilding our inner cities instead of giving Japan free military defense, you charge them for what they're getting, and you bring in hundreds of billions of dollars. If the right person asked, they would gladly pay, because they'd have to pay." "The fact is that you don't have free trade. We think of it as free trade, but right now, you don't have free trade. We let Japan come in and dump everything right into our markets. If you ever go to Japan right now and try to sell something, forget about it. Just forget about it. It's almost impossible. They don't have laws against it. They just make it impossible. They come over here, they sell their cars, their VCRs. They knock the hell out of our companies. And hey, I have tremendous respect for the Japanese people. I mean, you can respect somebody that's beating the hell out of you, but they are beating the hell out of this country." "It's tough to build housing for people when you're losing $200 billion a year. What I'm saying is the United States is systematically being ripped off by many of the wealthiest countries of the world. You look at Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and various of the other oil-producing countries, you'll see their lifestyle is beyond belief because we give them their freedom and they give us nothing. I'm saying I want the money so that we can put it into Harlem. So that we can give the money back to education because that's the big picture." "Kuwait, they live like kings. We make it possible for them to sell their oil, and yet they're not paying us. Why aren't they paying us 25% of what they make? ... Look at how we opened up the Persian Gulf. Most of the oil goes to Japan. We open up the Persian Gulf for Japan to get oil, for Saudi Arabia, for Kuwait to make money. Why aren't they paying us for this?" "NAFTA has ripped the heart out of this country, signed by Bill Clinton. It has been probably the worst trade deal, the worst economic trade deal ever signed by any country anywhere in the world." "I want free trade, but it's got to be fair trade. It's got to be good deals for the United States. I was asked recently, well, what is your definition of trade? I say make good deals for the United States, and ideally, make great deals for the United States. These horrendous trade deals have destroyed New York State. They have destroyed Pennsylvania and Michigan. Look at what's going on in Michigan. The car companies are moving to Mexico in particular. It's unbelievable." "China just devalued its currency. They're basically saying, 'we're really ripping you big league.' And believe me, they are taking our jobs, and China is not the only one. You look at other countries and they're all doing the same thing... They're making all our products. We're not manufacturing anything. They are selling it to us. They take our money and they loan it back to us." Chart below👇
