@lilyraynyc This is new for you guys in the US. But in India, we have been seeing these kinds of websites and contents in search and Discover for years. Let's hope Google takes action against such websites GLOBALLY. #ReputationAbuse

Pourquoi la France a-t-elle échappé au Core Update de mars sur le "Reputation Abuse" ? 🇫🇷🤔 Simple : seules des sanctions manuelles ont été appliquées ! 🔨✨ #SEO #GoogleUpdate #ReputationAbuse

We have not gone live with algorithmic actions on site reputation abuse. I well imagine when we do, we'll be very clear about that. Publishers seeing changes and thinking it's this -- it's not -- results change all the time for all types of reasons. The actions currently only also impact the content being actions, not the entire site, as the action notices I believe make clear.

. :: POLL - HCU with 60 day notice? :: Not easy to ignore hindsight, but ... If Google had treated normal sites like they have Mega Publishers, and given you 60 days warning you about the HCU, would you have taken action, or waited to see what G did? #SEO #HCU #ReputationAbuse

. :: Manual Actions for Authority Abuse :: Not surprised it's Penalties: 1) Relatively tiny number of offenders 2) Less chance of "getting it wrong" 3) Easier/Faster to "undo" Personally - I don't see this being the death of Steading content. #SEO #ReputationAbuse

Google begins enforcement of site reputation abuse policy with portions of sites being delisted - sites like CNN, USA Today, LA Times and others were algorithmically hit tonight https://t.co/4i8Zx2uddA hat tip @glenngabe @LauraChiocciora
