Governors are called 'chief security officers' — but with zero control over police or army.
The Plateau massacres expose Nigeria’s broken federal system.
🔴 PREMIUM TIMES explains why security failures persist.

@UchennaEkechuk2 @aonanuga1956 Are you an agent of ethnic division? Was @GEJonathan apptmt. any different? The new Group CEO is from North Central. And other board members are from IPOBs region.
Do you seriously think you can separate ethnicity+religion from Nigerian politics? 🤔 #RestructureNow @channelstv
There's hunger in the land. The message is clear
Some people are ready to tear the current Government apart
The present Government has failed to distinguish itself from previous Governments
Same people, same system

@KawuGarba I'll never call for a division, as the saying goes there is strength in numbers. What we need is a personalized system of government, where people choose what works for them, this Abuja system is tearing us apart, it is d problem not we the people.

As much as I want @officialABAT to succeed I am not oblivion to the fact that if he doesn’t restructure the country it will just be another 8 years of nothing burger. #restructurenow
What a country? We cant continue with this Unitary System.
Damn. No institution is independent. Every institution cant make decision at critical time, while Presidency put all the burdens of the entire Nation on its neck

President Tinubu has invited the Ondo State Assembly members to the villa to address governance concerns in the absence of Governor Akeredolu. A step towards resolving the vacuum and ensuring the smooth functioning of the state. The assembly members are currently in the villa.
You could imagine my irritation when Obidients started their "Yorubas are bigots" campaign when Tinubu lost two states in his region having 60% votes, Obi won 90% votes of SE and Atiku majority of North vote.
That's how Nigeria is. No one is vile. #Restructurenow
Yours and would never judge you for it, insofar as you do it reasonably and not with intent to cause another harm. The tenets of humanity and morality are social constructs, confliction is the fate of heterogeneous entities. Errors must be undone. #Restructurenow!
@yabaleftonline This story has been making the rounds without much chagrin from Nigerians. If a state within Yorubaland were to take certain indigenous steps, we'd not hear the last of it.
The sooner we #RestructureNow, the better for a united and better Nigeria
@funshographix .. #RestructureNow and empower the states to develop their natural resources while contributing to the centre for our foreign policy matters. Senate should be scraped and we'd have only the House of Reps at the centre. These reforms would put us on the right path
@Shehusky 🤔but the southeast has been asking to go since na which the north resisted! A country as diverse as Nigeria can only thrive when we #RestructureNow and empower states to control their resources.
Things had gone wrong for this nation since 1973.
Let us cry for the restructuring.

Unfortunately, many Nigerians doesnt speak about Restructuring. A Nigeria where each LGA/community control her resources
Ilaje can compete with some sleeping State
Igbokoda, Zion Igbokoda, Ugbo, Ayetoro, Awoye etc. All these communities have strong economy value

Do you know Periwinkles are found in abundance in Ereke, Ilaje LGA?
According to history, the Ilajes don’t use to eat periwinkles, but were mixing them with sand and cement to make rough surface floors to prevent slipping because of water. Over time, periwinkles became a delicacy and commercialised.
A bag below here was being sold for N2,500 in the year 2020. I don’t know the current price now.
How about the sand from Ilaje? Can Oluwa Glass be revived? How about the coconuts?
@fkeyamo People who have never lived or visited creeks wont understand what this woman is saying.
She lamented due to cost of transportation while basic things are too expensive over there.
The reason, I will continue to ask for change of system.

@Princemoye1 Abuja is too far from our grassroots, we cant continue this way
Let us restructure, we will be able to ask our councillors, LGA chairmen some questions. Why is the local police requesting for detergent, dettol etc?
#RestructureNow
Unitary Government is too far from the people
@fkeyamo You people have plans to win election but no good plan to run the country.
I dont support this Unitary system
#RestructureNow
@olowofade We need to restructure Nigeria, redesign some of our policies and amend our laws.
