Retelling the story of Achilles & Patroclus during the Trojan War, it’s a subtle fantasy (it has Thetis, Achilles’ godly mother!) that’s more character driven.

This #retelltuesday I wanna talk about House of Salt and Sorrows, a gothic fantasy retelling of The 12 Dancing Princesses. I love the dark atmosphere, ghostly elements & how it centres around the sea whilst retelling a fairy tale. I love it! C💜

City of Brass is steeped in Arabian & Islamic mythology including jinn, ifrit & wraiths. It’s a loose retelling of 1001 Nights & is fantastically rich and detailed fantasy that I’d highly recommend! -C💜
