I’m often asked Democrat, Republican, or other? Here’s my answer: I’ve been a registered Democrat my entire adult life, but my allegiance isn’t to a party. It’s to democracy itself the principle, not the branding. The current system? Broken. Corrupt. A machine of self-interest where power outweighs service, and loyalty is traded for influence. When I vote, it’s not enthusiasm it’s duty, a grim choice between two failures of leadership. But I do it because I still believe in what democracy should be: leaders who listen, institutions that protect, and a government that works for the people not their own survival. So no, I’m not a ‘Democrat’ by blind faith. I’m an American who demands better. The party doesn’t own democratic values; the people do. And until the system earns back our trust, the fight isn’t left or right it’s right or wrong.
