#RosePak was a one-woman force of nature. The former #SFChronicle #reporter became a #Chinatown advocate & was opinionated when she stormed into the mayor’s office at #CityHall. People credit her for gathering the funds to build the new #ChinatownHospital #aapimonth
RALLY - The Rose Pak Story documentary debuts at the 2023 @SFFILM Festival on 4/21 at 5:30pm and on 4/23 at 12pm in Berkeley. Read more in @lihanlihan's @sfstandard story: https://t.co/jb3dboWMFD #RallyDocumentary #RosePak
Rose Pak inspires current and future generations of leaders to carry on her work and love for Chinatown, and to fight for the community. #RosePak

Thank you 世界日報李晗 Han Li - World Journal for your story on the new Angel Island immigration museum and poem couplet 對聯 at the Chinatown Rose Pak Station. Angel Island commemorates the Chinese American immigration story and struggle! @lihanlihan @ai_immigration #rosepak
I was at Angel Island yesterday. The historic Chinese Monument, built in 1979, is now open to public.
While reading the two lines on the monument, I felt the words and styles very familiar.
Yes, at Chinatown-Rose Pak Station, the wall poem 對聯 tells a similar immigrant story.
@TheMarinaTimes @Naomimkelly Where did #RosePak fit into all of this? I’ll never forget the cops rushing to lock down her home and stand guard when she died unexpectedly. Imagine she had a lot of “dirt” in that place. How she qualified for it in the first place is another thing. (Willie) too late now...
The @SFMTA_Muni board narrowly passed a resolution to name a new #Chinatown station “Chinatown-Rose Pak Station.”
Protesters objected to using #RosePak’s name because of her #Corruption and support of the Chinese #Communist regime.

Station will be named Chinatown #RosePak Station. KALW story soon. Mad props to @FitzTheReporter for his breaking piece
BREAKING: CHINATOWN ROSE PAK STATION PASSES.

But opponents vow to keep fighting

Seriously? What will it take @LondonBreed and @sfbos to hold an emergency meeting? Breed is out there smiling on #FirstDayOfSchool and the Board is voting on whether or not to name a subway stop after #RosePak. Meanwhile in #SanFrancisco... https://t.co/PVT0c99y9z
"She was a feared woman in a man's world," professor emeritus of Asian American studies at @SFSU Laureen Chew said. "I dare any one of these people to say that they can single handedly do what she did." #RosePak @sfmta_muni #vote https://t.co/R8laPV0lbQ
It’s been 3 hours of public comment and I’ve lost track of which side has more supporters. Waiting on the naming decision for the new Muni Station. Will @sfmta_muni vote in favor of Chinatown #RosePak Station, yes or no?
#SanFrancisco should refrain from naming its newest subway station after #RosePak… a feared “Godmother” enforcer figure in the Chinese-American community who liaised with #California’s most corrupt figures & is alleged to have traveled to #China for an organ transplant.
Over 100 people holding signs, at times shouting, “no Rose Pak”, “Just Chinatown Station” were in #SanFrancisco to protest naming the #Chinatown subway station after the late #RosePak. https://t.co/sql6wKwnXE
@SFSunnita Thx @SFSunnita for elaborating on #RosePak's remarkable legacy. And to @AaronPeskin for leading the effort with SFMTA, https://t.co/FUS9LIJA5z
"Honoring the work of this civic giant is about more than memorializing her decades of service. It is about finally getting recognition from a City agency and its governing board that Chinatown and its future matter." #RosePak https://t.co/dnfAhfs48x
The SFMTA vote is today. And if the board respects SF history, it will back immigrant and tenant champion #RosePak https://t.co/FUS9LIJA5z @LondonBreed
