#sapsHQ [MESSAGE OF SUPPORT BY #SAPSNPC ON SSSBC 25 YEARS CELEBRATION]
On behalf of the South African Police Service (SAPS), the National Commissioner of SAPS, General Fannie Masemola congratulates the SSSBC for reaching this significant milestone.
Since its inception on 28 July 1999, the SSSBC has been one of our most valued stakeholders in the well-being of SAPS members. The Council has been at the core of advocating for labour peace, resolving disputes and encouraging a sound relationship between SAPS Management and members, among others.
We remain grateful to the Council for its concerted efforts to be of service to the stability of the sector and for working relentlessly to enhance labour peace and advocate for the right of our workforce. We are grateful for the cordial relations we enjoy with you for the greater good of our members and personnel.
In line with your mandate, you have, throughout the past 25 years, ensured collective agreements are negotiated in good faith, implemented and enforced so that we as a sector can have a happy workforce because we know that happy employees are productive employees. In the past 25 years, there have been several disputes between the employer and the employees, yet, what’s worth celebrating is that we would always sit around the table and find amicable solutions which enhance the significance of the council.
As we celebrate you tonight, we take note of your outstanding achievements over the past 25 years. May you achieve new heights and continue to thrive. May you continue to grow and prosper in all you do as an organisation. We wish you many more milestones that you can celebrate with all its glory. Once again congratulations on your significant milestone.
