📍Western Uganda Monitoring Visit by KOICA.
Yesterday a delegation led by the @KoicaUganda Deputy Country Director Mr. Cho alongside the @ScaduKabic project team kick started the monitoring visit for the Strengthening Capacity for Youth in Agribusiness Development in Uganda (SCADU) project in Western region.
The visit officially kicked off with a fruitful engagement with the Kabarole Local Government @MoLGUganda where we held a key meeting with the District Commercial Officer (DCO) to discuss project progress, sustainability plans, challenges, solutions and local support for the youth cooperatives under the #SCADUproject
This engagement underscores our shared commitment to empowering young farmers and strengthening local partnerships for sustainability. 🌱🇰🇷🇺🇬

🚨 Cooperative Members Training Alert! 🚨
Today the member’s training is happening in Sorori district. The members training is being conducted by UFFC across districts of the 4 regional youth MG cooperatives which were established under the #SCADUproject funded by @KoicaUganda
This training aims to:
✅ Deepen member understanding of the cooperative’s mission
✅ Orient new members who haven’t undergone Saemaul Geumgo training
✅ Strengthen unity and shared responsibility
📌 The #SCADU Finance team is also part of the training to ensure;
🔹 Re-emphasize the project’s role in ensuring cooperative sustainability among the youths.
🔹 Highlight the members’ duty in supporting the full repayment of the Youth Start-Up Fund loans.

This week, Uganda Federation of Community Credit Unions (UFCC) is conducting a specialized training for system administrators from the four regional Youth MGs Cooperatives established under our flagship project #SCADUProject funded by @KoicaUganda
The training is focusing on equipping participants with the skills to proficiently operate, manage, and troubleshoot the MG core banking system.
Key expected outcomes include:
•Adoption of best practices in digital financial data management and reporting
•Strengthening data security across MG cooperative systems
Empowering youth cooperatives with robust digital systems is a step towards greater financial inclusion and operational excellence.

These engagements are part of a broader strategy to mobilize and integrate smallholder farmer organizations into the Northern Region Youth MG Cooperative model aimed at enhancing access to agribusiness financing, training, and market opportunities.

Last week we were honored to be part of the 4th Eastern Agricultural Show at Awoja Riverside Farm in Soroti, a dynamic platform that brought together farmers, students, agri-preneurs, and key stakeholders to exchange knowledge and innovations in the agricultural sector.
As one of the sponsors, @ScaduKabic proudly facilitated 8 participants from both the Eastern and Northern regions to attend, including two Chairmen representing the Eastern and Northern Youth Regional MGS.
