After my #SickleCell Check-up yesterday, I was/am so exhausted! My #HGB dropped to 7.7, but other #labs are good & I only got stuck 1x.👍🏿 We discussed the #sccrises I've been having & she stressed that I can call 2 come in 4 #IVFluids & #Painmeds if needed. #SickleCellLifeOfMemej

@w_sicklecell I'm 41, I have SS, I started #Hydrea @ age 21. I used 2 have several #SCCrises & was in & out of the ER in my teens to age 20, 21, until Hydrea. Then I only had crises I could manage @ home but very few. I'm rarely in the hospital now but everyone's different. It works well 4 me.

Yesterday sucked. 😕 I had horrible #sicklecellpain, called off everything & ended up sleeping most of the morning after my meds. Later, I was just weak & fatigued. It's not enough 4 #SCCrises to be excruciatingly painful, they have to tire you out too!🤷🏿‍♀️ #SickleCellLifeOfMemej

Yesterday @635x472 graciously shared hers w/Us. I really manage most of ALL My own #SCCrises @ home. My #AtHomeCrisesCare: My XXXL #heatingpad, #AbonikiBalm, Otc #Lidocaine Back Patches, #Water, Tea depending on pain area, & not necessarily all @ once. 1/2 #SickleCellLifeOfMemej

Didn't get to Tweet this earlier, it's a screenshot from the #SCDWebinar with Dr. Jacob @seethal_jacobmd about avoiding #sicklecellcrises. She mentioned taking care of our bodies in the best ways possible aids in preventing #SCcrises too. I find that #stress is the worst culprit!

I went right online after the Women Living Well w/#SickleCell panel to find the med recommended by Sharon that helps relieve her pain during a menstrual cycle. It is such a Painful time, causing several #SCCrises during it. The Feminax is on it's way!😃🤞🏿 #SickleCellLifeOfMemej
