#SDCCTips: Even the most diligent of attendees can be forgetful. If you forget your phone in the bathroom (it happens!) or lose any other item, head to Lost & Found, located in Lobby D. Bonus tip: Set your phone’s lock-screen to a note w/ a friends # to call if found.

#SDCCTips: Feeling like a pack mule? You don’t need to haul all the heavy stuff. The convention center offers a bag check in the lobby for a small fee ($5 in 2024). Just don’t forget to pick up your items before the end of the day.

#SDCCTips Exhibitors and vendors offer tables full of colorful items, but most of them aren’t free for the taking! Before you help yourself, ask before taking anything. Even if a sign says “FREE” it’s still common courtesy to ask permission.

#SDCCTips: Don’t rely on just one form of payment. Many hotels/vendors, have moved to cashless transactions only (including Starbucks at the convention center). Conversely, some vendors prefer only cash payments. Small bills are also handy for tips. Have both options available!

#SDCCTips The exhibit hall can be overwhelming. Use the handy aisle and row numbers (found on the banners hanging from the ceiling) to help you navigate. When setting up a meeting spot, try to be specific, some rows are very long.

#SDCCTips: Plan how to get your stuff home. Pack a Sharpie, tape & a few labels in case you need to ship items home. Skip the convention center FedEx, consider using the FedEx at the Hyatt, the Marriott Marquis or the USPS on E and 8th. Need a box? Check by the recycling bins.

The popularity of the panel room matters more than the popularity of any single panel. Look at the entire day for each room. A big hitter, relative to the room size, could crowd it hours before. #SDCCTips #SDCC

#SDCCTips: Need overnight parking? If you don't need instant access to your car, consider using Spot Hero as an alternative to expensive hotel parking. Airport area parking can be as low as $15/night. Even with a short Uber to your hotel it can save you a small fortune.

#SDCCTips: Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. If cosplay sounds fun, TRY IT! If a panel asks for volunteers, RAISE YOUR HAND! See an impromptu dance party starting? JOIN IN! Don’t go home with regrets or “coulda, shoulda, wouldas.”
