#ROVHercules spotted this ~8 inch in diameter colonial filter-feeding #pyrosome while exploring an unnamed seamount inside the #PalauNationalMarineSanctuary. These #bioluminescent #marineinvertebrates are mostly pelagic, meaning this one likely drifted onto the #seamount.
While diving on a newly mapped ancient unnamed #seamount along the eastern edge of #PalauNationalMarineSanctuary, our #CorpsofExploration encountered many animals that call the slopes their home, like this Coelophrys sp. #batfish.
