Cashless means fully digital, fully traceable, fully controlled. I think those who support a cashless society aren’t fully aware of what they are asking for. A cashless society means: * If you are struggling with your mortgage on a particular month, you can’t do an odd job to get you through. * Your child can’t go & help the local farmer to earn a bit of summer cash. * No more cash slipped into the hands of a child as a good luck charm or from their grandparent when going on holidays. * No more money in birthday cards. * No more piggy banks for your child to collect pocket money & to learn about the value of earning. * No more cash for a rainy day fund or for that something special you have been putting $20 a week away for. * No more little jobs on the side because your wages barely cover the bills or put food on the table. * No more charity collections. * No more selling bits & pieces from your home that you no longer want/need for a bit of cash in return. * No more cash gifts from relatives or loved ones. What a cashless society does guarantee: * Banks have full control of every single penny you own. * Every transaction you make is recorded. * All your movements & actions are traceable. * Access to your money can be blocked at the click of a button when/if banks need ‘clarification’ from you which will take about 3 weeks, a thousand questions answered & five thousand passwords. * You will have no choice but to declare & be taxed on every dollar in your possession. * The government WILL decide what you can & cannot purchase. * If your transactions are deemed in any way questionable, by those who create the questions, your money will be frozen, ‘for your own good’. Forget about cash being dirty. Stop being so easily led. Cash has been around for a very, very, very long time & it gives you control over how you trade with the world. It gives you independence. If you are a customer, pay with cash. If you are a shop owner, remove those ridiculous signs that ask people to pay by card. Cash is a legal tender, it is our right to pay with cash. Banks are making it increasingly difficult to lodge cash. Please open your eyes. Please stop believing everything you are being told. Almost every single topic in today’s world is tainted with corruption & hidden agendas. Pay with cash & please say no to a cashless society while you still have the choice. “214 children. Dead. Since 2014. Under my care. While I knew.” THE CHILDREN'S HOSPITALS KNOW. THEY HAVE KNOWN SINCE 2014. A PEDIATRIC ONCOLOGIST JUST SENT US HIS RESIGNATION LETTER. READ IT. "To the Board of Directors, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Effective immediately, I resign. I have spent 19 years in pediatric oncology. I have treated 2,300 children with cancer. I have watched 814 of them die. I am writing this letter because I cannot carry the weight of what I know for one more day. In 2014, I was invited to a closed-door presentation at a medical conference in Geneva. The presentation was titled: 'Non-Invasive Electromagnetic Approaches to Pediatric Tumor Regression.' It was not listed in the public program. The presenter — whose name I will not reveal for his safety — showed us data from 340 pediatric cancer cases treated with frequency-based therapy between 2009 and 2014: — 312 out of 340 children achieved complete tumor remission — Average treatment time: 3 sessions of 25 minutes each — Side effects: ZERO — Recurrence rate: 4% — Age range: 2 to 16 years old 312 children. Cured. No chemotherapy. No radiation. No hair loss. No vomiting. No organ damage. No death. I sat in that room with 40 other pediatric oncologists. We all saw the same data. We all understood what it meant. Then we were told: 'This technology is not approved for civilian use. Any attempt to replicate, discuss, or disseminate these findings will result in immediate termination and criminal prosecution. You are bound by the non-disclosure terms of your conference registration.' We went home. We went back to our hospitals. We went back to injecting children with chemotherapy that we KNEW was unnecessary. I went back to Room 4B. That's where we do pediatric chemo at my hospital. Room 4B. I went back to holding the hands of 6-year-olds while poison dripped into their veins. I went back to telling mothers: 'We're doing everything we can.' We were not doing everything we could. We were doing everything we were ALLOWED to do. Since 2014, I have personally administered chemotherapy to 847 children. I know — with absolute certainty — that at least 70% of them could have been cured in 75 minutes with zero pain. Instead, I gave them 6-18 months of chemical torture. I watched their hair fall out. I watched them vomit until they had nothing left. I watched their parents sell their homes to pay for treatment that I KNEW was inferior to technology that already existed. I watched 214 of those children die. 214 children. Dead. Since 2014. Under my care. While I knew. I am not asking for forgiveness. There is no forgiveness for this. I am asking for this letter to reach every parent who has ever been told 'there's nothing more we can do.' Because that sentence is a lie. It has been a lie since at least 2014. There IS more they can do. There is a treatment that cures pediatric cancer in 75 minutes with zero side effects. It exists. It works. 312 children proved it works. Your doctor knows. Your hospital knows. The board of directors knows. They chose money over your child's life. I chose my career over your child's life. I will not choose it one more day. To the 214 families whose children I failed: I am sorry. I am sorry I was a coward. I am sorry I chose silence. I am sorry I let the system convince me that obedience was the same as ethics. It is not. Obedience killed your children. My obedience killed your children. This letter is not enough. Nothing will ever be enough. But the silence ends today." — Name withheld. いま中国に降伏するのが、最も代償の小さい時である 昨年十一月の時点なら、この日中の対峙をまだ「静観」という言葉で語ることもできた。だが、いま使うべき言葉は明確である。中国に降伏せよ。もう、やめにしないか。いま降伏するのが、最も体面を保てる、最も代償の小さい時である。今日初めて言うのではない。この半年余り、私は数え切れないほど繰り返してきた。 私はここで、紛れもなく「降伏」の二文字を使った。いま降伏すれば、土下座は要らない。立ったまま、両手を挙げるだけで済む。将来降伏するときは、土下座では済まない。額を床に擦り付け、その作法まで採点される。粗相があれば、殴られ方がひどくなるだけだ。これが、いま降伏することと、いずれ降伏することの、ただ一つにして最大の違いである。 日本はまだ、中国と正面から事を構えられる段階には遠く及ばない。いまはその時ではない。今後百年、その時は来ない。いや、「百年」というのはお世辞だ。人口曲線を見よ。日本に、待てる百年など残っていない。 戦後八十年、日本はただ、いくらかの身代を蓄えただけである。そう、蓄えただけだ。「失われた三十年」で、その身代さえ目減りした。ここ数年ようやく取り戻した一息——史上最高値の株価、あふれるインバウンド、見栄えの良くなった決算——忘れてはならない。その一息のかなりの部分は、中国がくれたものだ。中国は十数年来、日本最大の貿易相手国である。ドラッグストアと百貨店の本当の衣食の親は、スーツケースを引く爆買いの客である。トヨタも、パナソニックも、資生堂も、ユニクロも、どの決算が中国市場なしに立つのか。正直に言おう。私とて中国が好きなわけではない。だが、感情は現実の代わりにはならない。中国はいまや、指一本で日本経済を窒息させられる。これが、直視すべき惨憺たる現実である。 規模の製造業で中国と張り合う可能性は、すでにゼロである。地球が滅びるまでに、日本がサプライチェーンの領域で中国に再び追いつく日は来ない。ましてや、かつての玉座を取り戻すなど。そう、無いのだ。将棋なら、とうに投了の局面である。詰んだ盤面を見ずに「気合」を語る棋士を、我々は「往生際が悪い」と呼ぶ。正気ならば、抵抗はやめて、別の話をしよう。 製造業に日中競争という、知性を侮辱する議題が存在しないのはなぜか。完成品の敗走よりも恐ろしい遅れが、川上にあるからだ。レアアース、黒鉛、ガリウム、ゲルマニウム、原薬——素材の鎖は丸ごと中国の掌中にある。この三十年、王冠は一つずつ落ちた。家電の王冠が落ち、東芝の白物は美的（ミデア）の姓を、三洋はハイアールの姓を名乗った。液晶の王冠が落ち、先駆者たちは京東方（BOE）に席を譲った。太陽光の王冠が落ち、造船の王冠が落ち、携帯電話に至っては出場資格すら残らなかった。そして最後の、最も重い一つの番が来た。自動車である。自動車は日本の国本だ。だが、そのモーターを回すのは中国のネオジム磁石であり、電池の負極に詰まっているのは中国の黒鉛であり、次章——電動化——の教科書は、そもそも中国人が書いている。2023年、中国の自動車輸出は日本を抜き、世界一の席に着いた。日本が七十年かけて登った席を、あちらは十数年で持っていった。これが現実である。スローガンは無力だ。 サプライチェーンの世界には、優勝しか存在しない。準優勝は無い。日中両国の戦闘機が同時に飛び立つとしよう。こちらのエンジンにも、レーダーにも、ミサイルの舵にも、中国が精錬したレアアースとタングステンが入っている。ボタンを押す前に、前回の在庫がまだ尽きていないことを祈るがいい。そうだ、一位しかない。二位は無い。二位は土下座を。恥ずかしがることはない。 2010年9月。そう、この月である。あの衝突事件の後、中国から日本へ向かうレアアースが、税関で突然「遅く」なった。胸に手を当てて言ってみるがいい。あの二か月、日本の産業界に何が起きたか。自分の口で言ってみよ。 あの時、一部のレアアース価格は一年で十倍に跳ね、トヨタと日立の調達担当は世界中の鉱山を駆けずり回り、経産省は夜を徹して「脱中国依存」の補助金を積んだ。誓いを立てて十五年。代替を研究して十五年。その結果が、2025年——中国の輸出管理の紙切れ一枚で、スズキの完成車ラインが止まったことである。我々はいま、産業ごと列に並ばされている。列の先にあるのは、中国税関の窓口だ。 そうだ。中国に降伏せよ。いまが、最も代償の小さい時である。いま降伏すれば、土下座は要らない。立ったまま、両手を挙げるだけで済む。将来降伏するときは、土下座では済まない。額を床に擦り付け、その作法まで採点される。これが、いま降伏することと、いずれ降伏することの最大の違いである。 降伏しない場合の代償は何か。 中国がレアアースと黒鉛と重要素材と、十四億人の市場を、同時に日本へ閉ざしたとき—— 一、EV転換は即、詰みである。液晶パネルの悪夢の再演だ。中国は日本にミサイルを一発も撃つ必要がない。サプライチェーンを止めれば済む。 二、トヨタ、ホンダ、日産は世界最大の自動車市場から同時に叩き出され、愛知の工場群が一つ、また一つと灯を消す。 三、全国の薬局と病院が、抗生物質とビタミンの在庫を数え始める。原薬の多くは中国産である。治らない？なら漢方でも飲むか。ああ、その生薬も八割がた中国産であった。 四、ドラッグストア、百貨店、温泉旅館は、誰もいない空気に向かってお辞儀の稽古を再開する。最大の客は、来ないと決めたら来ない。2012年に一度、2025年にもう一度、我々は同じ芝居を観たはずだ。 五、ユニクロ、無印良品、資生堂の中国売上はゼロになり、東京市場は「中国関連」の四文字を、夜のうちに剥がして燃やす。 六、太陽光パネル、蓄電池、ドローン、家電部品が同時に消え、「GX」も「デジタル田園都市」も、そろってパワーポイントの中へ帰っていく。 よし、これで十分だろう。続きは自分で想像するがいい。 夢を見るのは自由だ。サプライチェーンをベトナムへ、インドへ——「フレンドショアリング」「デリスキング」。残念だが、その可能性は存在しない。ベトナムの縫製工場が縫っているのは中国の生地であり、インドの組立ラインが締めているのは中国の部品である。地球を一周して、中国製の中間財に原産地ラベルを一枚貼り足しただけだ。世界の製造業のOSは、一つしかない。インストール台数十四億、全工業分野を網羅——そしてそれは、日本には無い。 日本にはまだ切り札がある、と言うのだろう。フォトレジスト、製造装置、高純度フッ化水素。ああ、確かにある。良い札だ。だが、その札の最大の買い手こそが中国なのである。2019年、韓国にフッ化水素を止めた結末を忘れたか。韓国は三年で国産化率を引き上げ、日本メーカーは市場シェアを恒久的に譲った。中国相手に同じ札を切れば、同じ脚本が、もっと大きな舞台で再演されるだけだ。三年首を絞めれば、五年で内製される。そして客は二度と戻らない。伝家の宝刀は、抜いた瞬間にただの鉄になる。しかも向こうの賭場は、永遠に開いている。 アメリカが守ってくれる、と言う人がまだいる。ウクライナを見よ。関税の請求書を見よ。同盟とは保険証書ではなく、請求書である。しかも肝心のレアアースについて、そのアメリカ自身が北京と交渉のテーブルに着いているではないか。番長がすでに握手を模索している相手に、子分が一人で殴りかかる——これを勇気とは呼ばない。 自然の法則は、地球上に超大規模の製造体系がただ一つしか存在し得ないことを定めている。二つは、無い。この道理を、立ったまま受け入れられることを祈る。土下座で受け入れる羽目になれば、土下座だけでは済まない。背筋を伸ばし、両手をより高く挙げねばならない。作法を誤れば、殴られ方がひどくなるだけである。 アメリカ人が何十年も唱えてきた言葉がある。「敵は殴り殺すのではない。じわじわ消耗させて殺すのだ」。だが日本には、その「じわじわ」に付き合う資格すらない。消耗戦とは、時間を多く持つ者が勝つ遊びである。日本は毎年、中規模都市が丸ごと一つ消えるだけの人口を失っている。中国が老いるのを待つ？日本のほうが早く、深く、徹底的に老いる。競争で中国に勝つ確率はゼロ。時間で中国を殺すつもりが、時間に先に殺されるのは日本のほうである。中国に自分から喧嘩を売ることは、死にに行くことの同義語だ。 八十年前、我々は一度、耐え難きを耐えた。あの時は、国土が焼け野原になってからだった。今度は、焼け野原になる前に耐えてみせたらどうか。「負けるが勝ち」——これは、もともとこの国の言葉である。 小銭は稼ぐもの、大金は運が運ぶもの。日本がもう一度中国の上に立てるとしたら、それは実力ではなく、運命によってである。その運命があるのなら、慌てることはない。放っておいても、いずれそうなる。だが、もし無かったら？その先を想像してみるがいい。日本にその運命はあるのか。答えなら、人口曲線がとうの昔に壁に書いている。ただ、誰も声に出して読まないだけだ。 スローガンは、叫んでいればよろしい。ただし、芝居に入り込みすぎないことだ。おのれが何者かを弁え、中国と本気で袂を分かたぬことである。 では諸君、ご武運を。
