Ever wondered what challenges #blind & #PartiallySighted people face navigating the streets?
Well today members of @seftoncouncil’s Highways team got to find out, during a simulation walk organised by Merseyside @SLCouncils
This is part of our ongoing work with the council 👍
Essex SLC is attending a #wellness open day at @Fusion_LS today, where they will share the work #Essex SLC is doing across the region. Members of the public will have the opportunity to access our toolkit, try #SimSpecs, & learn how they can support those living with #SightLoss
Today #Merseyside SLC is delivering a vision awareness session at @LiverpoolHopeUK university.
As part of the session, students will wear #SimSpecs, special glasses which simulate various sight conditions, to experience what it is like to play sports with #SightLoss.
Staff from @placesforpeople @PlacesLeisure had the opportunity to wear #SimSpecs as part of today's VI Awareness training. These imitate a range of #SightLoss conditions. As part of this experience, we were also able to provide sighted guide training to the team. #InclusionWeek
