A personal update for friends and fans across the pond: I'm really happy to be giving the opening address at this year’s Sierra Leone Arts & Culture Festival organized by the award-winning Young Sierra Leonean CIC. @Young_Salone The theme for this year’s #SLACFEST is ‘Roots & Renaissance’, a look at the past, reflection on the present, and imagination of a brighter future for creatives at home and in the diaspora. Over the years, the Young Sierra Leonean CIC has become the foremost London-based community organization building bridges between artists, advocates, and creatives at home and in the UK. They close the gap, building a global community of like-minded multidisciplinary creatives who #MakeSierraLeoneFamous. This year, the Sierra Leone Arts & Culture Festival (#SLACfest) returns to South London for its 2025 edition, taking place across the weekend of 31st October – 2nd November, with four separate ticketed events. I'll be speaking first at the Friday – Opening Event – on 31st October – 6pm-9pm. I'll also be joining the main program as a panelist. ➡️ Here is the schedule for the weekend. I feel so fulfilled in life atm. Expanding/Rewriting my solo-theatre show whilst planning #SLACfest and attending part-time drama school… alongside parenting. My 16year old self would be so proud of me.

Most definitely this was me wearing it over this weekend in Brixton, London joining these great Sierra Leoneans at the #SLACFest hosted by @Young_Salone . So touched on the day when I was reminded by the young people behind the event that I had inspired them in 2017 following the Sierra Leonean floods to come together and formed this amazing movement.
